- Previous Louisa Harding has out done herself this year: Thistle and Willow Tweed
- Next Today it’s chilly enough to think about Afghans: New yarns from Kertzer
As promised the new products keep rolling into 21 Front St. For those of you sock knitters, this one is a winner. Kertzer’s On Your Toes Bamboo sock yarn is beautiful and perfect for those folks who are sensitive to wool and having a hard time finding a great sock yarn.

One Skein Should Make a Pair of Socks
This yarn is 75% Bamboo 25% Nylon, knits 7 sts per in, contains 328 yards, and sells for $12.99. It’s also machine wash, delicate, low heat tumble dry. On Your Toes Bamboo has a beautiful hand and luster to it. The color palette is very summery so get your needles ready.

A close up look
Some of the colorways are solid and others are slightly variegated as the above photo shows. This means that this yarn will work equally well with simple stockinette or ribbed sock pattern to elaborate cables and lacey ones. I can also imagine this yarn in some of those lovely vintage baby patterns made with fingering weight yarns. It’s an hairloom in the making and it would be machine washable!
