Louisa Harding has out done herself this year: Thistle and Willow Tweed

Louisa Harding came out with some fantastic new yarns this year: Thistle and Willow Tweed.  They are so beautiful and I can’t wait to get the accompanying pattern book for these yarns.  We only saw the original sketch mock ups for the book when we ordered but I suspect we’ll be just as excited with the book when it arrives this week as we are with the yarns already in the store.

We have seven gorgeous colors of Thistle.

Louisa Harding’s Thistle is 60% Merino 40% Baby Suri Alpaca, knits 4.5 sts per in on a U.S. size 8, contains 98 yards per ball,is  hand wash lay flat to dry, and sells for $8.95 per ball (buy online) This yarn is incredibly soft with lovely color dimension throughout the spin of the yarn.  Color #7, Peacock, is my favorite and has a mix of a bright blue with a rich but dusty purple.  It’s reminisent of an 80′s color palette but so updated and hip I just love it.

Next up is Willow Tweed

We picked up the entire spectrum of colors for this yarn!

Louisa Harding’s Willow Tweed was one of my favorite yarns I saw during my buying expedition. I thought the color palette was so beautiful we had to have all of the colors available. It’s 40% Alpaca, 40% Merino, 20% Silk with 128 yards per hank, knits at 5.5 sts per inch on a U.S. 6, is hand wash lay flat to dry, and sells for$8.95 per hank.
