I’m draw to color and if you’ve ever walked into the shop you’ll know why it was love at first sight for me. There is so much color in the store and I love to pick out different color combinations. But I also recognize that although lots of friends of SSFY love color too, it’s not always so easy to pick out. Many people are drawn to the colorway in the sample or pattern, but are not able to translate our giant wall of yarn into a paired down selection for their project. As such, I thought we’d provide some ongoing inspiration and show you where we find color inspiration.

A classic children's book provides inpiration
Blueberries for Sal by Robert McCloskey is a childhood classic. I’ve loved this book from a young age and read it often with Mazie. I was drawn to the bold, simple two and three color illustrations in this book and thought it would make great color inspiration for a project. Shown are colorway 27 (varigated gray), 1440 (Blue), and 1744 (Mustard).
