Color color everywhere: Fall fashion color palette

In the design world there is a company called Pantone that produces colors that are used across the industry in graphic design, fashion, textiles, wall paper, home accessories, etc.  Each year during New York Fashion Week they survey the designers about their color picks for the coming season.  This year the designers have selected an amazing Fall palette that is fresh and exciting.  I thought it would provide some excellent color inspiration.  Over the coming days I’ll be posting a snapshot of yarns that match up with these color picks from leading trend setters in the fashion world.

Top 10 colors for Fall 2009

Here’s what they are saying about color this year “The Fall 2009 palette is more unique and thoughtful than a typical autumnal hues of years past,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “Designers recognize the desire for fundamental basics that speak to current economic conditions, but also understand the need to incorporate vibrant color to grab the consumer’s eyes.”
